Upon arrival to Porstmouth, I took a short visit with Greg to The Ritz downtown to browse their pageant gowns. Saturday night I met with my director, Greg Davis, and pageant friend Jerri Cummings. We had a great time chatting about Miss Ohio and the Miss America pageant that aired live on TLC. Together we went to a "Miss America" party and a past contestant, director, and judge as well as other Miss Ohio fans were in attendance. Most of us had Miss California or Wisconsin for the win.

All of the titleholders from the Miss Portsmouth/Scioto Valley pageant were invited to MC the annual bridal expo at the Friends Community Center in Portsmouth, OH on Sunday, January 27th. Katie Camp, Miss Portsmouth, and Kara Beth Wagner, Miss Portsmouth Outstanding Teen, were also in attendance. Katie was in Vegas for the Miss America preliminaries and shared her experiences with us...it sounds like a blast!!! She even witnessed the Monte Carlo go up in flames. She also told us that she knew that the second Miss Michigan walked on stage that she was going to take the win.

We had a great time introducing the vendors, walking around the expo, and announcing the different wedding gowns in the fashion show. We also announced several door prize winners and a grand prize winner of $500.00 to an attending bride! It was nice to see Katie and Kara Beth again. We had a great time catching up with one another's prep! I am looking forward to our next appearance together.
