The Miss Portsmouth and Miss Scioto Valley committee would like to announce the addition of a gathering of former titleholders being held in the Vern Riffe Center Lobby area beginning at 6:30 p.m. until the start of the show. We have decided to do this in place of a luncheon due to traveling time for those traveling that day. The committee wanted to have as many there as possible so we have come up with this gathering.

In addition to the gathering all former titleholders will introduce themselves on stage. Also, we would like all formers to participate in the "On-Stage Question" competition. Our plan is to have each former ask a question to this years contestants during this phase of competition. Please wear your crowns and sashes.

Once again if you have not turned in a picture please do so quickly and please send us an email telling us if you plan to be at the pageant. There will be a ticket at the registration table in the lobby for all former titleholders.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY - Yes, the Miss Portsmouth Scholarship Program is turning 50!!! On Saturday October 27, 2007 we will celebrate 50 years of excellence in honoring all of the former titleholders who have represented the Portsmouth Area at the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program.

Please let this letter serve as your official invitation to attend our program. Our pageant
committee is still finalizing the days activities, but here is what you can expect:

1:00 p.m. - There will be a reunion luncheon for all past titleholders - Location TBA - Sponsored by the Miss Portsmouth and Miss Scioto Valley Scholarship Program - In addition special gifts will be given to all former titleholders attending the reunion. Dress for this occasion is business/casual.

7:30 p.m. - This is the start time of the 50^th Anniversary pageant. All former titleholders will be admitted to the pageant FREE of Charge. ALL other guests coming with you will be paying the general admission ticket fee of $10.00. Dress for the pageant is a cocktail dress or formal gown.

* During the pageant all former titleholders will be introduced on stage. If you have your crown and sash please bring them to wear as well. *

It is imperative that we get a legitimate "head count" for the day, so as to prepare for the days activities. We will be honoring all former Miss Portsmouth titleholders (all name variations – Miss Greater Portsmouth Area, Miss Scioto Valley and Miss Southland) as well as Miss Shawnee State University titleholders, which were held together.

Lastly, we are requesting all former titleholders inform or committee of your current name, address, email address, phone number, and cell number to update our files. We are also requesting two pictures (which will be returned) one from when you were crowned and one of you "today". The picture can by yourself or it can be with your family if you desire.
